Let your fair's awesomeness shine by entering the 2018 Achievement Awards!

Bringing home an Achievement Award shows your community that their hometown fair is top-notch and helps you demonstrate to potential sponsors that your event is world-class.

Online entry submissions will begin August 1, 2018. The paper application is available for download below.

The goal of the Achievement Awards Program is to recognize excellence and share successful ideas and programs amongst members. Achievement Award winners serve as inspiration to the industry, demonstrating innovation worthy of replication.

There are two Featured Programs for 2018.
Entries will be judged by a special panel of industry experts; winners may be asked to present their results at the WFA Convention in Reno January 20-23, 2019.

Feature Program: Media & Marketing

Cultural Marketing Campaign – This division is to include: Website, Digital Advertising, paid (non-organic) advertising- can include standard leader board, big box, skyscraper or other retail ad banners, rich media, page takeovers or site skins, or boosted social media posts and ads. Judging Criteria: Effectiveness, creativity, results.

Featured Programs: Innovations & Management Excellence

New Cultural Program – Innovation, adaptability to other fairs/events, net results.

Division 31: Give it Your Best Shot!
Submit a single photo (minimum 300 dpi, file size not to exceed 7 MB)
for each area that best represents your fairtime experience.

Division 32: Inspiring Collaborations
Tell us about an important collaboration with a Fair.


There are 32 separate divisions in which fairgrounds and/or Service Members can be recognized.
