The Blue Ribbon Foundation is a subsidiary of Western Fairs Association. As a charitable, nonprofit organization, it is dedicated to supporting the fair industry through professional and public outreach. The vision of the Blue Ribbon Foundation is to sustain the fair industry with a consistent presence of leadership and support through training, educational scholarships and professional services.
Blue Ribbon Foundation Programs
The Blue Ribbon Foundation Convention Intern Program allows five college students the opportunity to learn first-hand about the fair industry. Applications are closed for the 2017 Convention; please check back in October for information on the 2018 Intern Program.Scholarships:
The Blue Ribbon Foundation Scholarship Program provides the opportunity for one child or grandchild of a service member and one child or grandchild of a fair staff member to receive a $2,500 scholarship.Applications are closed for the 2017 Blue Ribbon Foundation Scholarship. Winners will be announced in the Summer Issue of the Fair Dealer magazine, to be distributed this June.
Live and Silent Auctions:
The Blue Ribbon Foundation Live and Silent Auctions held at WFA's annual Convention is the foundation's largest fundraising events. Money collected during the auctions are used to provide educational and scholarship opportunities for members.
