Two WFA veterans will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the upcoming Convention in Reno. Salinas Valley Fair Director Paul Beckett and Nevada County Fair CEO Sandy Woods will share the podium as members of Western Fairs celebrate their contributions to the fair industry. Both have spent decades in service with Beckett starting his “fair life” in King City more than 40 years ago, and Woods beginning her fair career in Grass Valley 20 years ago as the deputy manager of the Nevada County Fair.

“The Hall of Fame Board of Governors did an outstanding job,” said WFA President Pat Kress. “Paul and Sandy define commitment and service to the fair community. Both have worked tirelessly on behalf of the California fair network. They are great additions to the WFA Hall of Fame.”

The inductions will take place at the Industry Awards Celebration on Wednesday, January 14. Members can read more about the inductees in the next issue of Fair Dealer magazine.
